Those early days in the chamber were rich times of light and understanding as the Father drew our attention to prophetic types from the entire span of human history. They began emerging for what they had really been living foreshadows of humanity's ultimate marriage to God at the end and consummation of all things. All the types with which the Father had spoken to the senses of humanity through the ages, disclosed the complete restoration of humanity's unbroken union with God, our true Husband. These types merged into a composite picture of the whole plan of redemption, uplifting the One sent from the Father to be our Redeemer Husband.
Early in the morning on July 21, 2000, the Father awakened me and put the words in my mouth, "I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore Thy skirt over thine handmaid: for thou art a near kinsman." This meant to me, Messiah, I need to be covered and protected with Your divine covering, even the faithfulness of God, with which You are covered. The Father immediately sent me to the chamber of His Son where the living allegory of Boaz and Ruth unfolded to us and became seen for what it had been in history a type of the divine Kinsman-Redeemer, personally redeeming His people and their inheritance through His marriage to them. This type was the first of a series of unfolding types that were meeting their anti-type in the return of Messiah, and the "marriage of the Lamb;" though at this point we had no intimation that the Father had ordained for the marriage of the Lamb to be a literal atoning event, as His atoning cross had been.
In this true life experience from the Old Testament, this living parable not only revealed a bride, not of the divine household, who was drawn from her foreign people and father's house, to be married into the divine family; but also, Boaz, Ruth's kinsman redeemer foreshadowed our Elder Brother, the only begotten Son of God Who came into humanity so He could have the right to redeem humanity, as our Kinsman; redeeming through true, selfless, divine Husbandry, what His brother, the first Adam (husband) had sold.
And Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, Blessed be he of the Lord who has not ceased his kindness to the living and to the dead ... The man (Boaz) is a near relative of ours, one who has the right to redeem* us ... Ruth 2:20 Amplified.
*The land shall not be sold into perpetual ownership, for the land is Mine; you are only ... temporary residents with Me ... If your brother ... has sold some of his property, if any of his kin comes to redeem it, he shall be allowed to redeem what his brother has sold. Lev. 25:22 Amplified.
Your land shall be called Beulah, married; for the Lord delights in you, and your land[your entire being] shall be married, owned and protected by the Lord ... and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you. Isa. 62:4,5 Amplified.
Then Naomi, her mother-in-law, said to Ruth, My daughter, shall I not seek rest* or a home for you, that you may prosper? And now is not Boaz, ... our relative ... Wash and anoint yourself therefore ... and go down to the threshing floor ... When he lies down, notice the place where he lies; then go and uncover his feet and lie down. And he will tell you what to do. And Ruth said to her, All that you say to me I will do [Ruth was meekly and quietly obedient to her unusual instructions].
*Rest -a coming to a state or condition of rest, repose, to be quiet, to lay down, to settle down and remain, to permit. Strong's Concordance. "The Lord grant that you may find a home and rest each in the house of her husband." Ruth 1:9 Amplified.
So then, there is still awaiting a full and complete Sabbath-rest reserved for the true people of God; For he who has once entered into God's rest [marriage] also has ceased from the weariness and pain of human labors, just as God rested from those labors peculiarly His own. Let us therefore ... enter that rest of God, to know and experience it [Him intimately] for ourselves. Heb. 4:9-11 Amplified.
Then Ruth came softly and uncovered his feet and lay down. At midnight the man was startled ... and behold, a woman lay at his feet! And he said, Who are you? And she answered, I am Ruth your maidservant. Spread your wing of protection [your own covering] over your maidservant, for you are a next of kin. And he said ... My daughter, fear not, I will do for you all you require ... It is true that I am your near kinsman; however, there is a kinsman nearer than I [in the final anti-type, the earthly husband was the nearer kinsman, given first as a kinsman type to redeem us to the Father and restore our divine inheritance] ... If he will not do the part of a kinsman for you, then, as the Lord lives, I will do the part of a kinsman for you. Lie down until the morning. Then Boaz went up to the city's gate ... and behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz had spoken came by. And Boaz took ten men of the elders of the city and said, Sit down here ... And he said to the kinsman, Naomi, who has returned from the country of Moab, has sold the parcel of land which belonged to our brother Elimelech. And I thought to let you hear of it, saying, Buy it in the presence of these sitting here ... If you will redeem it, redeem it; but if you will not redeem it, then say so, that I may know; for there is no one besides you to redeem it, and I am next of kin after you ... . And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I endanger my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption yourself, for I cannot redeem it ... And Boaz said to the elders and to all the people, You are witnesses this day that I have bought all that was Elimelech's and all that was Chilon's and Mahlon's from the hand of Naomi. Also, Ruth the Moabitess ... I have bought to be my wife to restore ... his inheritance ... And all the people at the gate and the elders said, We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming into your house like ... the two who built the household of Israel ... . And the women said to Naomi, Blessed be the Lord, Who has not left you this day without a close kinsman. Ruth 3:11,-13 4:14,15 Amplified.
The redeeming Angel, that is, the Angel, the Redeemer not a created being but the Lord Himself ... has redeemed me ... " Gen. 48:16 Amplified.
For your Maker is your Husband the Lord of hosts is His name and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer (literally, kinsmanRedeemer); the God of the whole earth He is called ... With great compassion and mercy I will gather you to Me ... For this is like the days of Noah to Me; as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that ... My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completion be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you. Isa. 54:5,7,9,10 Amplified.
I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians [the burden of being under the oppressive husbandry of the adversary through his agent your own self within you, or any other human agent], and I will free you from their bondage [spiritual tyranny and domination of such husbandry], and I will rescue you with an outstretched arm, with special and vigorous action and by mighty acts of judgment. And I will take you to Me for a people (bride), and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that it is I, the Lord your God, Who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. And I will bring you into the land concerning which I lifted up My hand and swore* ... and I will give it to you for a heritage. I am the Lord, you have the pledge of My changeless omnipotence and faithfulness." Ex. 6:6-8 Amplified.
*Note: This sentence is highly significant to me because it says, "I will bring you into the land concerning which I lifted up My hand and swore...and I will give it to you for a heritage." A year before we came to the new land, the Father gave me the verses, "Therefore thus says the Lord God: I have lifted up MY hand and sworn, ... My people...are soon to come home. For behold, I am for you and I will turn to you; ...and I will do better for you than at your beginnings, and you shall know, understand, and realize that I am the Lord, the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service. ... Thus says the Lord God: I do not do this for your sakes, ...but for My holy name's sake... And I will vindicate the holiness of My great name and separate it for its holy purpose from all that defiles it... and the nations will know, understand and realize that I am the Lord, when I shall be set apart by you and My holiness vindicated IN YOU before their eyes and yours. ... Then you shall earnestly remember your own evil ways and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight... Then the nations that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord have rebuilt the ruined places and replanted that which was desolate. I THE LORD HAVE SPOKEN IT, AND I WILL DO IT. Thus says the Lord God: For this also I will let the house of Israel inquire of me to do it for them... Ezekiel 36:7-9, 11, 22-23, 31, 36-37. The Faith of God. And now, here we are in the very land He had lifted up His hand and sworn about, and He has done the very thing this verse says, "I will take you to Me for a people (bride), and I will be to you a God."
I will make a new (marriage) covenant ... Not according to ... My covenant which they broke, although I was their Husband, says the Lord. But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, says the Lord, I will put My law within them, and on their hearts will I write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people ... for they will all know Me (by experience be married to Me), recognize, understand, and be acquainted with Me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord ... Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when the city of Jerusalem shall be built again for the Lord ... " Jer. 31:31-34,38 Amplified.
At the writing of this chapter, one year later, what the Father brought about, through His personal Kinsman-Redeemer sent to marry us to God, has dawned upon our understanding in much greater significance. When Michael shared with us the additional insights that were coming to Him after reading the section above, we asked Him if we could share them with you:
While reading this section on the prophetic type of Ruth and Boaz, I was greatly blessed in its revelation. I saw in these things, that the two witnesses representing the entire body of Christ were without redemption. Their lives were not able to grasp the preciousness of the Father's drawing, but more consistently were pressed by the pains that came from their illusions.
Their earthly husbands were first in line to redeem them. They were given years to draw them higher and take them from the torments of their souls. When Boaz sought out the near kinsman, the man stated, "I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance." Here, the near kinsman was self-interested. He would have to lose something in order to redeem Ruth. He was unwilling.
Boaz was also greatly drawn because Ruth was a younger woman who could have had a younger man. "Blessed be thou of the Lord, my daughter: for thou hast showed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. Ruth revealed her lack of self-interest. The Spirit drew her on to connect herself with Boaz and Boaz was drawn to her and was able to redeem her.
The Father's drawing is of the Spirit. The earthly husband is given an opportunity to redeem the bride. Adam could have redeemed Eve but he was too involved in self-interest. He fell with her. All earthly husbands find themselves more involved with their comforts and having a wife as their "bond-slave" than in the redemption of the wife. They rule over their wives with the same displeasure that the negative law rules over the nations with its displeasure. Who would dare to be displeased with God or to argue with Him? Only one with a bond-slave would argue with that slave and be displeased with her. No earthly relationship is exempt from this judgment.
Now the Lord comes down in the new land and says, I will redeem the bride. The earthly husband gives up his right to her, so that she might be redeemed. The earthly husband feels quite qualified in himself, but his self interest has thwarted his efforts to bring his bride up into the heavens. The new Redeemer, Michael, appears in the flesh so that it can be shown His redemption is of the Spirit and not coming from the flesh. Boaz redeems Ruth.
Having considered these things, I saw so clearly that Wayne, an earthly husband, could have never redeemed the bride. It was strong against his natural self protections to redeem the bride from the hand of their earthly husbands. His self interest was too prominent. This self interest was not recognized for what it was, since it seemed so much like God interest "Thou shalt not ... "
Because of this, Michael came down on Wayne, breaking down every natural resistance to the divine purposes and removing from him all of his self interest. This was done when Michael would come heavily upon Him and bring him into circumstances that annihilated his own good view of himself. By being brought to his utter end, Michael was able to live out His own will in Wayne.
Wayne was incapable of redeeming the bride. Michael was capable. Wayne had two brides before and neither one was redeemed. Now he is given Michael for the purpose of redeeming the bride of Christ. In retrospect, the Father was unable to redeem His first two brides, Judaism and Christianity. Now He marries the land to Himself through Michael. The law could not redeem Israel. As an icon (Jesus) could not redeem Christianity. Now, Michael comes down and inhabits them and redemption is assured. Michael
In this great final anti-type in the new land, it was the Father, in reality, Who came to the nearest kinsmen of the two witnesses whom He had chosen to participate with His Son in the consummation of all things. It was the Father Who personally solicited the right to redeem the two witnesses as living, visible symbols of His power to redeem every man, woman and child by divine union through the person of His Son.
On July 25, 2000, the Father drew me to another type of Christ that was meeting its anti-type in Michael. He merged the imagery of The Song with the Messianic prophecy of Psalms 45 which describes the Royal Wedding of Messiah, and the imagery of Queen Esther's preparation for inclusion into the royal family. Queen Esther's experience of being a bride, not originally from a royal household, was a living parable of the bride of the Lamb to be taken from humanity for the divine marriage of the Lamb. I recognized with keen interest the precise details of spiritual preparation that I found myself experiencing.
Psalm 45 - Jesus spoke of what was written of Him "in the Psalms" (see Luke 24:44). This is one such Messianic psalm ... The chapter is written against the background of a secular royal wedding ... New Testament reference to this psalm is in Heb. 1:8,9, where verses 6,7 of Psalm 45 are quoted and applied to Christ. Amplified Footnote.
I address my psalm to a King. My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer. [Precious Messiah], You are fairer than the children of men; graciousness is poured upon Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever ... Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness, uprightness and right standing with God and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows. Your garments are all fragrant with myrrh, aloes, and cassia; ... Kings' daughters are among Your honorable women; at Your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir.*
*Ophir was the place to which everyone went to procure gold during the early Bible times. Ophir means "reducing to ashes."
Because you put your faith in God, you are under the protection of His power until the salvation now in readiness is revealed at the end of time. This is cause for great joy, even though for a little while you may have to suffer trials of many kinds. [It will take going to the place of being "reduced to ashes" to procure this divine gold.] Even gold passes through the assayer's fire, and much more precious than perishable gold is faith which stands the test ... when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Pet. 1:5-7 REB.
Hear, O daughter, consider, submit and consent to my instructions; forget also your own people and your Father's house; So will the King desire your beauty;
And Esther won favor in the sight of all who saw her. So Esther was taken to the king ... and the king loved Esther. Esther 2:15-17 Amplified.
Behold, you are beautiful, my love! Behold, you are beautiful! You have dove's eyes [trusting eyes of faith and recognition for Who I really am]. Song of Solomon 1:15 Amplified.
Because He is your Lord, be submissive and reverence and honor Him ...
I betrothed you to Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) ... to present you as a chaste virgin to her true and only Husband. 2 Cor. 11:2 REB.
